The device is housed in a good looking matte black metal casing, slanted front panel with silk screened scales that doesn’t rub off. At the bottom of the housing rubber feet.
Device specifically designed for SSB, FM/AM and wide band audio.  Good workig with HIGH OUTPUT POWER up to 2kWt.  Create that full range HiFi sound with emphasis on the low end, or bust pileups with a higher pitched sound and more compression, with the 12 -band Equalizer the choice is yours.
On the front panel there are jacks:

  • MIC 3.5 mm for electret microphone (like computer or HEIL Headsets etc.).
  • 8 pin standard hand mic (can be RJ-45, 4/5/6 pins for Cobra, Ranger)
  • MON 3.5mm jack for headphones for self-monitoring (does not duplicate the signal from the transceiver, only self-monitoring ).

On the rear panel:

  • Power button
  • PTT for foot switch
  • DC jack for USB cable connection
  • Output cable for transceiver
  • XLR input for Studio microphones

The transceiver usually has a classic equalizer that is not able to equalize adjacent frequencies in a narrow range. As a result, if you use dynamic microphone with directly connection to the transceiver, the signal may have a dull tone at low frequencies and may whistle at high frequencies. Any expensive studio microphone can’t sound any better without audio processing than a cheap one with audio processing. The V.8 has with a host of audio processing blocks to make your signal stand out! Of course, having complex signal processing blocks, you need to study a lot of information in order to clearly understand how it works and how to set it up correctly. In the V.8 device, there is no need to configure a bunch of blocks, we did it for you, leaving only a part available to the user, where you can change the settings.

The device has two independent low-noise microphone amplifiers with two independent inputs for various types of microphones. This is a universal device, any microphone can be connected to it:
• Elecret
• Dynamic
• Condencer (48V PS)
• Hand mic

RJ-45 connection

If you have a transceiver model with RJ-45 connector, for example like Yaesu FTDX-10, Yaesu FT-891, Yaesu FT-991, Yaesu FT-857,  Icom IC-706, Icom IC-7000, Icom IC-7100, then you need a device with RJ-45 connectors. It is physically impossible to install the RJ-45 input connector due to lack of free space, so the device comes complete with an adapter, which is shown in the photo. But this is a big plus. By connecting the adapter not to the input but to the output ( to the device cable), you will receive a product with two round connectors. That is, the product can be used with Yaesu RJ-45 like FT-817 and with 8pin pole transceivers, like Yaesu FT-990.
